| Fighting to Protect Our Environment
Phyllis Mundy believes that protecting our environment today and for future generations of Northeastern Pennsylvanians should be a top priority. That’s why the League of Conservation Voters, along with Clean Water Action and the Sierra Club gave her a 100% voting report card and have endorsed her.
Growing Greener II program
In 2005 Phyllis worked diligently with her colleagues to approve enabling legislation for a $625 million bond initiative which the voters overwhelmingly approved last May. No new taxes or fees were included in this plan. A total of $230 million was allocated to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for various projects. Phyllis and her colleagues were successful in insuring that a portion of these funds would be used for stream improvement and flood protection.
