State Representative Phyllis Mundy was first elected to the General Assembly in 1990 and is currently serving her ninth term.  In 1996 Representative Mundy was chosen by her peers in the Northeast Delegation to the General Assembly to chair the group.  As a public servant, Representative Mundy is well-known for her hard work, knowledge of the issues, and leadership in representing the interests and concerns of district residents.

Representative Mundy has consistently fought for and promoted legislation to improve access to affordable healthcare, to improve academic achievement in our public schools, and to enhance opportunities for good jobs with good wages and benefits for area residents.  She has also provided praiseworthy service to constituents in her district office helping thousands negotiate their way through the state's bureaucracy.

Her sixteen years of seniority and experience have proven invaluable.  Whether working to assure that the district receives its fair share of state tax dollars for community projects or influencing legislation which affects us daily, she has provided the necessary leadership while maintaining the highest personal and professional standards.
